When We Are Closed

From the hours of 18:30 to 08:00 the following morning, weekends and bank holidays, cover is provided by NHS111.

Please contact 111 should you have any health concerns during those times.  A letter will be sent to your surgery should you have any contact with either 111, the Walk in Centre or the Hospitals updating us of any treatment that you have received during those times.

The Walk-in Centre

North Colchester Healthcare Centre, Primary Care Centre, Turner Road, Colchester, CO4 5JR

Opening times - everyday 07:00 till 22:00

Nurse care at the Walk-in Centre – cuts, minor burns, wounds, coughs and colds, flu symptoms, sore throat, ear ache, back pain, strains, joint pain, sprains, muscle injury, rashes, skin complaints and minor allergies, sexual health and emergency contraception.

Please Note  - Repeat prescriptions is not a service that is provided by the Walk-in Centre, you will need to speak to your own surgery for repeat medication.  Only acute medication will be issued for any minor illness you may be suffering.

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
